As one of the world's leading groups in the energy industry and has made its presence known in different segments of the value chain (electricity production, transport and commercialisation of natural gas and electricity, LNG and industrial services).

In December 2006, as part of the process to restructure our portfolio of holdings and to make the most of all-time high market values, there began a process of disinvestment that was to end in 2007.

This company commercialises and carries out all manner of tourist operations. It has hotels, mainly catering for tourism and most of which are located in the Caribbean region.

The sale process began in 2006 after analysing the Strategic Plan and considering that added value over and above the current situation was not being created. The process ended in 2007 with the sale of the holding.

ATLANTIA (Autostrade SPA until May 2007) is a European leader in the transport infrastructure sector with a network of concessions spanning 3,400 km until 2038 and an average daily traffic rate of up to 43,700 vehicles.

In accordance with Criteria CaixaCorp's policy of active portfolio management (rotation) and against a backdrop of all-time market highs, 2% of Atlantia has been sold.

Caprabo 2003-2007 Distribution

Caprabo is a family business with more than 50 years' tradition in the retail distribution sector and holding a leading position in the most attractive markets in Spain (Barcelona and Madrid).

On the 5th of June 2007, a purchase agreement was signed with Grupo Eroski to sell the entire investment held in Caprabo through Caixa Capital Desarrollo, this after considering the healthy state of the market and the maturity of the initial investment project. The sale was formalised on the 13th of September 2007.
