Francisco Reynés has been the Managing Director of Criteria CaixaCorp since July 2007. A qualified Industrial Engineer at the UPC and an MBA at the IESE, Reynés has also completed other Business Management courses in the United States and Germany.
Until joining Criteria CaixaCorp, Francisco Reynés occupied the post of General Manager and member of the Management Committee of Gas Natural. He had previously been Chief Executive Officer of Uniland, a company that was sold to Grupo FCC in September 2006 where he led the international expansion of the Group in the Maghreb, the United Kingdom, Holland, the United States and South America.
He had previously formed part of the executive management at Johnson Controls UK, Germany and the United States, the Volkswagen group and Dogi.
Reynés has also been Chairman of the World Business Council - CSI; Vice-Chairman of the Board of Oficemen; consultant to the South American companies of Gas Natural Band and Gas Natural do Brasil and in Mexico, as well as Vice-Chairman of the Société de Ciments d'Enfidha, among others.
He is Chairman of Hodefi and Director at SegurCaixa Holding (formerly know as CaiFor), SegurCaixa and VidaCaixa since 2007. In 2008 he was appointed to the board of Gas Natural and PortAventura, President of Inversiones Autopistas and Joint Director of Catalunya de Valores, SGPS, Unipessoal, Lda. In March 2009 he was appointed to the board of Unión Fenosa. In May 2009, he became member of the Board of Abertis.
