Javier Godó Muntañola. Director

Javier Godó Muntañola was appointed to our board in 2005.

He is also a member of the Executive Committee of ”la Caixa” , In June 2009 he was appointed Third Deputy Chairman of “la Caixa” , member of the Board of SegurCaixa Holding and serves as a trustee of ”la Caixa” Foundation.

He is and Chairman of Grupo Godó de Comunicación, belongs to a family traditionally linked to the newspaper industry. Born in Barcelona in 1941, he has a degree in Economics from the University of Barcelona.

He is currently Editor of “La Vanguardia”, Chairman of Grupo Godó de Comunicación, Chairman of Catalunya Comunicació, Deputy Chairman of Unión Radio and Deputy Chairman of the “Sociedad Española de Radiodifusión” (SER).

He is also Deputy Chairman of the Fundación Conde de Barcelona, Deputy Chairman of the Sociedad Económica Barcelonesa de Amigos del País (SEBAP), Deputy Chairman of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona (MACBA), Director of the Museum of Modern Art of New York (MoMA) and serves as a trustee of the Ramon Llull University, Barcelona.

In 2009, He became a member of the International Advisory Board of Telefónica de España, SAU.
