Jordi Mercader Miró. Director

Jordi Mercader Miró was appointed to our Board of Directors in 2000.

Chairman of the Compañía de Seguros Adeslas, he holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the School of Industrial Engineering of Barcelona and a Masters Degree in Economics and Business Management from the IESE Business School.

Between 1976 and 1990, he was Chairman of Industrias del Papel and Celulosa, Empresa Nacional Bazán de Construcciones Militares and the National Institute of Industry. He was a member of the Repsol YPF Board of Directors between 2004 and 2007. Between 2006 and June 2010 chaired Sociedad General de Aguas de Barcelona. From March 1997, he is member of Board of Directors of Corporación Alimentaria Peñasanta, S.A and also from June 2003, he was appointed Second Deputy Chairman of ”la Caixa”. In December 2007, he became member of the Board of SegurCaixa Holding. He is also Chairman of Miquel & Costas & Miquel.
